St. Annie
Patron Saint of Daily Consolations Joy is where you find it St. Annie would tell us. Maybe it is the quarter found on the locker room floor. But to take pleasure in the finding, you must not think on the person who lost it. Maybe it’s the blue jay feather tucked in the grass. But you must not think of the killing cat. Is there any consolation, no matter how small, that does not come at a cost, St. Annie? St Annie, box construction © Margo Klass / poem © Frank Soos |
